Talking The old "I was washing my truck and fell" excuse...

Forgive me if something like this has been posted before, but I got quite a chuckle after having seen this...

That's classic. The only "off the field" thing I've seen so far is a cold. I guess it's time for Detroit to insititue a curfew.

Same scenario happened to Pokey Reese in my solo league. . . except he was out for at least a week. Good stuff!

I think if Pokey took a good punch he would be out much longer than a week.

from darkhorse's weekly report for his team of the sandlot baseball league...
"Random Thoughts: I must say that I am very disappointed in the way that the league has hush hushed the the ugly incident that led to Jim Nettles disappearance from the Rangers lineup. If you are unaware, Nettles was involved in a nasty brawl at Arlington adult club, Lacy's, and could have very easily lost an eye in the melee that ensued. The SBL has definitely suffered a black eye in its infancy. Fortunately for the player his diagnosis was a scratched cornea and 10 days on the sidelines. Appallingly, no fines or suspensions were handed out. I wonder if Rangers management would have been so lax in their response if Jim's brother were not Rangers teammate and star 3B Graig Nettles. Signing off, dear readers, I'll keep my ear to the wall."

and yes, i'll update the website as soon as the commish finishes the sim, even the pictures which i forgot to upload in the last update.

Beer belly my eye. I'm only 6'4" but 220, so I'm sure my beer belly could stomp your beer belly's ass... if beer belly's actually have asses.

Like skinny little Greg Maddux being a better pitcher than most people who tower over him, it isn't the size of a person that judges what they do, but the ability they have.

To clear that confusius moment up: I had a roomate in college who was 5'9" 155 lbs and a triple blackbelt in Akido. In demonstrations and competitions he could throw, lock and knockdown people LITERALLY twice his size.
