Okay, stadiums are downloaded, converted to bitmaps, in the graphics folder, both park .dat files have been cut/pasted, game is using correct file names by default and I'm still not getting any stadium pics!
I hit the preview button, and I see the same generic screen, even though the damn game knows the file is right (because the file can't be wrong! it says "file not found!" if you screw up the file name!) What am I doing wrong?

Don't know what you are doing wrong, but do you have the ballpark images specified like this:
Thats what I use and I see this: Hope this helps. |

Yeah, I have the latest stadium download, which makes the stadium names correct by default. Not to mention, the game forces you to give a valid path, or else it reads "File Not Found!"
Which baffles me: if the game is recognizing it as a file, then why aren't the parks showing up? I am bewildered. Maybe it's the one of the park .dat files or something. I dunno. |

Is the name of the path really long? If the path name is extremely long then you'll have issues.
Also are you sure you have the stadium image in the correct spot (the right hand blank) you won't get the error if you put it in the left handed blank (which some people apparently use). Is the park a .bmp? What exactly is the setup, how does you setup compare to the setup that shows on my screen. I've used this setup successfully to have every stadium image I've ever used show up, at least with the test coordinates button. If you only aren't getting the stadiums in the game its because you need to check the team setup screens to make sure the stadiums are assigned to each team properly. |

The names are all the default park names, none are long. My left hand blank has the default.bmp in it, not the bc1.bmp, but I've changed that and it doesn't help. I've also attempted to move all the stadiums to their own folder, but once again the program recognizes the file but gives me the standard default park anyway.
Still stumped. I am using Season Ticket 2K3, not OOTP4, but I didn't think that should matter. |

Is the path you are typing to the stadiums relative to the graphics folder? (Stadiums must be under the graphics folder to show up).
The park.dat files go in the league folder, the stadium images go in the graphics folder of the main OOTP/STB directory. [ 04-20-2002, 08:19 PM: Message edited by: ScottVib ] |

I've tried stadiums in the graphics folder, and within their own subfolder in the graphics folder. I've replaced the .dat files in every folder just to make sure, and still nothing.

Ignore the .dat files for now, apparently they used a path that you don't have setup, just try to assign the stadiums on your own, once you figure out how to do that, the .dat files become unnecessary. (The .dat files are league specific, so would only be in the leaguename.lg folder of the league you are using)
Follow these steps:
Hope this helps. Note if your images show splotches of transparency, change the 'picture file' (in the ballpark editor) blank to bc1.bmp (see screenshot) |

I have Season Ticket Baseball 2003, and I have the exact same problem.
I finally decided to see if the long path to the files was it, so I moved the entire Season Ticket Baseball folder to C: and renamed it STB. I am sure the files are in the correct place because, like ironchef, it does not say file not found if I enter the correct file names! I can't put into words how frustrated I am. [ 04-23-2002, 07:52 PM: Message edited by: Incubus3000 ] |

Have you followed the exact steps printed above? If not try those.
A common error is to potentially reverse which image goes where. Remember the stadium images must be based out of the graphics folder. Check the screen shot, if your ballpark editor screen looks like that (especially at the bottom) you should have no problems with the stadium images showing up. The other thing to check is that you have assigned the stadiums properly. Go to each Teams' Team Setup screen. There is button that says Ballpark Name, click it and select the stadium.. if all is well you'll see the image in the lower right hand corner of the team setup screen. |

Well this is very weird, I can get any pictures to work except for the ones I got from the 1995 Ballparks (28) ZIP file Rendered from Tony Larussa Baseball games, at http://www.bigcitybaseball.com/bigcitybaseball/inside.html
This set came already in the correct .bmp format, yet it won't work? The set I got to work is the Danielb MLB Ballparks (from the High Heat baseball game). This is so weird that the only pictures I can't get to work come from the Tony LaRussa set. Any suggestions? |

Tried that about 7 different times, still doesn't work. I give up. Hey Incubus, how did you solve this problem? Good to see I'm not crazy and there are others having this problem.

I'm still having the same problem, but only with the 1995 Tony Larussa set. I can get any others to work.
Which set were you trying to get to work in the game? |

Can you guys post step by step, exactly what you are doing when you try and get these into the game.
Give as many details as you can and hopefully we can figure this out. I have gotten that set to work for me, in fact the image you see is from a fictionalized stadium created by someone else based on the images from that set. |

I think I would start over on this one guys... the images are ok - has to be something else.... |

Well I sure feel stupid, it turns out I was confused. The DanielB stadiums based on High Heat that I got were already .bmp's.
However, I know that I saved the 1995 stadiums as 24-bit bmp's, becuase that's what they show up as in Windows Explorer. I used Paint to convert the files, what did you guys use? Anything specific that you did besides just save as a bmp? They are supposed to be 24 bit, right? |
