anyone that has heard him over the past 5 years knows this is waaaaaaaaay overdue. i still have a hard time listening to my dvd of the OSU-Miami National Championship game because of him. And this is coming from someone that held him in high esteem for the longest time.

Bravo for him. As misconfused as he had become he will always be the voice of college football to me.

I didn't get to hear him during his misconfused phase, though, since I stopped watching college football. Great voice.

Granted, he's been [much] less than the legendary Keith Jackson of old since he was coaxed out of that first retirement, but I have to admit: even a sometimes [often] befuddled, awkward, Keith Jackson is better (to me) than just about everybody else working in the biz.

Keith will always be the voice of college football to me...
