GForceSports.net Banner Needed

I posted a very general topic a few days ago about Web site banners, but figured perhaps a more specific header would be better. Simply, I am taking down RosterDevelopmentGroup.com and replacing it with GForceSports.net. This is for several reasons (not the least of which is that I really only do one roster project at the moment).

I have nothing specific in mind for the banner, so if any of the artistically inclined here would care to take a shot, I would be much appreciative.

What I have up there now is 680w x 100h. Certainly no wider, but it can be a bit deeper if you need it to be. Basically, the site's going to be rebuilt, so I'm flexible with this, particularly as I have no idea how to do one

As for colors...maybe it's just that I'm watching the Olympics, but I like red, white and blue. But you can certainly deviate from that if you like.

Basically, I appreciate anyone willing to help and am open to just throwing it out there and letting you have some fun with it. I really don't have anything too set in mind.

Very cool. Would there be any way to do a version without so much black in it? For example, Dark blue background with the player white, site name in red & white or something of the sort.

I really like the banner design itself, just curious as to the different color scheme.
