Clarifications on the olympics

Ok i keep scrolling through my tv guide and i keep passing by XX olympic games i have no idea what the XX means is it the 20th olympics or winter olympics? that doesnt really sound right is it the 20th time it has been in Torino?

and another thing where the hell is Torino? Im looking on a map and i cant find it is it in Italy, France???

I have very little knowledge of the olympics and/or geography

anybody? just curious

It's the twentieth winter Olympics. Torino (better known as Turin) is in the northern part of Italy.

Winter Olympics are numbered separately from Summer Olympics.

And the XL in Super Bowl XL means 40, because L is 50 in Roman, and the X preceding the L means 10 before 50. And to cut off that obvious question, 50-10=40. And the 4 before the zero means 4 times 10 which means 40. To give you a better picture of what that exactly means add 1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+ 1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1

All those ones added up equals 40. And just in case you were going to ask, each one of those ones represents an individual Super Bowl game. And just in case you were going to ask, since the year of our Lord 1967, something called the National Football League, which governs the American game called football, not to be confused with the international game football (they are quite different games), made an agreement to have its champion team meet the winner of another league called the American Football League in a final championship game later known as the Super Bowl. Which incidentally got its name from a toy. Is there anything else you need clarified?

I thought XL meant extra large?

I read somewhere that the "Y" is representative of the question "why in the hell would anyone watch this crap?"

Then again, the Roman numeral for "I" equals "1". So if you typed that out you'd get "Ol1mpics", which hardly looks correct. I think I'll submit a recommendation for a permanent change to a more simple looking "0l1|\/|p1c5".

NW Italy, just east of France and south of Switzerland.
