Game crash issue

Hey guys, I downloaded the OOTP 5 free version and everything is great except I keep getting a game crash at the end of every 'played' game (just as it tries to transition from the live game to saving the stats and back to my league standings page). I get no specific error message. Just a window saying that OOTP5 has encountered a problem and needs to close.

I've read all the posts I can find on the boards for crash solutions and nothing has worked yet.

I've tried disabling the in-game sound, toggling the Direct 3D mode in the game configs, adjusting the browser options in-game, and closing every other program while I play OOTP. I've un-installed and re-installed the game 3 times with the same result. I only ever get a crash in that 1 place. The rest of the game runs beautifully.

I'm running XP and I have my compy current with all updates. In fact, I also run several high-end online games on this machine with no issues whatsoever... just OOTP.

Any ideas?

UNinstall and reinstall the game.

I get the same exact problem. Funny thing is, I was an owner of OOTP5 when it was originally out and did not have this issue?

How much free HD space is available?

It's working now by disabling the sound. I'd say there is about 50GB free.

I did preorder the new OOTP, hopefully it won't have this issue...hadn't used this program in about 2 years, and now that I came back I am hooked again!
