Cash Question

Can somebody tell me how this is effected during the season? In my online league some teams have $5,000,000 (what we started at) and other have low amounts. One team only has $75,000. Guys want to schedule promotions but with available cash so low they can't afford them or can they?

you need cash to set up promotions.

i'm not too sure, but i think cash comes out of your revenue at the end of the year. but i cant say for sure how much the AI decides to take out from revenue to put into cash.

hopefully someone else has that answer.

also on a side note...this question has been answered before, so maybe you can try a search. if i find something on it then i would post it up.

During the season, the only thing that affects cash is promotion scheduling (unless your commish has other things that add or subtract from cash).

At the end of the season, the game takes your revenue, subtracts your expenses and the difference is added to or subtracted from your cash. Teams that lose money or have small markets will get revenue sharing money. The cash limit is set in league setup. If this number is $15 million for example, any cash that your team has over that amount at the end of the season is lost to revenue sharing

Here is the situation:

We just started our first season. I assumed that each owner may do his own team promotions on his own computer and they are sent in with the team exports. Now each team started with $5,000,000 and after the very first week of sims some teams cash dropped dramatically. I also assumed this was due to the fact they had scheduled promotions but if I go look at their schedule, there are no promotions showing? In other words, the money was taken off and no promotions exported.

Help?

Promotions don't export, but the money gets subtracted. If your GMs want to do promotions, you should have them e-mail you with them and you schedule them. If they do them, and you do them, they will count against them twice. Known bug I believe.

Spleen is correct.

Promos don't export, but financial data does.

Yes, you can edit cash. If you're just starting the league, it's a good idea to make sure every team has the same amount of cash to begin with.
