MLB License

Since OOTPBM 2006 is now being modeled in the Football Manager style, I was wondering if a MLB and MLBPA license will be considered....since Football/Worldwide Manager has always obtained the rights for so many leagues I was hoping that they can pull it off with OOTP....or does the MLB still stupidly insist that salary represented by dollars cannot be any games they are a part of?

It's already been announced that there will not be a MLB or a MLBPA license. There are so many restrictions with having such a license that it's better off not having it and leaving it up to 3rd party roster makers.

And, sadly, it's not modelled after FM.

Well, I say sadly because FM is quite a great game, but I'll take the ability to have a fictional league over an FM clone.

I have understood that only EA Sports will have rights to MLBPA and other MLB Liscenses. I do not believe that there is any choice in the matter with regard to whether or not OOTP2006 can have an MLB liscense, even if they want to.

EA does not have the MLB rights. If they did we would have gotten MLB 2006, not NCAA Baseball 2006.

I think SEGA or somebody like that has the MLB rights.
