Questions.....
I've been in and out of these forums for a while now, really waiting for the Role-Playing version of the game to come out. Let me first say I'm not a die-hard fight fan, however I am a sports fan. I own OOTP, TPB, ITP, BBCF... well you get the point. I'm not interested in past fighters, just recent ones and fictional fighters... so a couple of questions
1. How hard is it to setup a universe of fictional fighters w/ a mix of present ones? 2. Is there a way (easy) to randomly make fictional fighters and import them into the game? 3. How much work is there involved in running your own universe (By this I mean setting rankings etc....) 4. Is this really not meant to be played the way I asked, should I just wait for the Role-Playing version (If there is going to be one)... I have more, but this is a start ![]() Thanks for your help! |

2) not real easy ... I don't mess with fictional fighters except for some tomato cans for my beginners to fight. I know PyroFalcon had a Random Fighter Generator, but I have no idea the current state of it. 3) now that we have the aging routine the work you have to do is drastically cut down. mainly most of the spreadsheet work you will do is scheduling fights. 4) this game was never meant to be a RPG, this community took it upon themselves to make into one just using imagination. The company has done an excellent job of trying to help us with that. i.e. the aging and new rankings. there still is manual work involved but 97% less than there was when TBCB1 first came out. Imagination is the key, setting up a universe that you are happy with takes a little time but once you find that right combination you will be completely hooked. If you can afford it, you should buy it the RPG may not be out for another year yet. |
