Question Minor Leagues questions... highjacked

1) Can there be more teams at a given minor league level than there are major league teams?

What I'm thinking of here is something like the 1946-1960 time period when there were 16 MLB teams, but there were 24 teams in the AAA level of the minors, spread amongst three different leagues. Not all of those 24 AAA teams were affiliated with major league clubs; some were effectively independent. Will something like this be possible in OOTP2006?

2) Can a major league team only have one affiliate per minor league level, or can it be associated with more than one minor league club per level?

I recall you mentioning that a minor league affiliate can only be associated with one major league team at a time, meaning there won't be an co-op situations in OOTP2006 even though such co-op scenarios do occur from time to time in the real minors. That I don't mind, but I'm wondering if it's strictly a case of one affiliate per major league team per minor league level.
...Markus, now that you've answered these questions...

2) yes, that works as well. A MLB team can have up to 10 affiliations, and it does not matter how many at which level.

Co-op scenarios where two MLB teams share a minor league team do not work.
Can you answer these?

1. Can minor league teams change affiliates as time goes on?

2. Can teams move from league to league? (ex. Indianapolis Indians moved from International League to Pacific Coast League to American Association and so on)

Hey, I just asked that as a follow-up question in the thread I started, though I phrased it somewhat differently. Great minds think alike, or something like that.

Your second question though is all yours, and a good one too.

Yeah, I figured I'd start a different thread instead of veering yours off course. Good to see we're kind of on the same track though. The addition of minors is making some of my dreams come true so I just want to make sure it's worth it... and I want to plan my world too.

That's a very good question, I'm wondering that myself.

Also, by "manually do this" (post 4), do you mean edit the league structure and switch teams up like we could do in OOTP6 by switching teams from a division to another, or, as BruceM suggested, having to move all players from one team to the other and change team names?

I'm thinking he meant we could do it like we do it now - from sub-league to sub-league or division to division. That would make the most sense since this is how we do it now. At least that's what I'm hoping. What you saw is, unfortunately, all I got out of him.
