What game or series was the worst officiated?

Since there's a lot of love for the boys in zebra stripes (or in baseball the undersized blue suits), let's put all the complaints in here. State what game or series you feel was badly officated, and the reasoning why.

And go..

Steelers v Colts

1 The non-call for pass interference. What did they have to do to get a call? Yank down Randel-El's pants while the ball was in the air?

2 Troy Polamalu's interception being over-turned. He had control of the ball until he got up to run the ball back upfield.

You must not know enough NFL rules.

Alamo Bowl. Didn't see the Outback.

The Alamo Bowl deserves to be remembered for years for being an ungodly mess caused by officials. Even without the last play it would have been a disaster.

In a slightly different category, I do remember a Lakers/Kings game 6 a few years ago that I happened to see despite my general lack of interest in the NBA. Only game I've ever been absolutely convinced was fixed by the officials.

For some reason I thought you were referring to this week's playoff games.

I agree that the Alamo bowl "wins" hands down.

You forgot the non call on the offsides. You had half the Colts team in the Steelers backfield, and yet nothing was called.

I didn't see the Alamo Bowl this year, but I say the 2003 UF-FSU game was the worst I've ever seen. If we're just going this year/season, I'd say the Colts-Steelers game. I remember one play where the offensive lineman was basically pushed backwards on his ass, so he reached and grabbed the D-Lineman's legs and essentially tackled him. No flag. That's in addition to all the other ones mentioned.

Game 6 Championship of Sonics Vs. Bulls 1996/97.

The Sonics had that game and Everything Kemp did was called while Jordan and Rodman were treated like little angels. Late in the game there was a jump ball between Rodman and Kemp at a crucial moment and Rodman literally climbed up Kemp's body while pushing him down to get the tip. It had already been redone a few times because of Rodman's antics so I think they just got tired of calling it back. Should have just called a flagrant on the weasel.

Bulls won and forced game 7 to win the Championship.

this is what i posted on another board the day after it happened.

i cant even put in to words how pissed i am over last nights Alamo Bowl, but ill try.

1. We shouldnt be in this f****** bowl in the first place.
a) we beat Iowa and Northwestern on the road
b) we had a better conference record than both of them
c) its not like michigan doesnt travel well...f*** people who say that

Kirk Herbstreit is a MORON and Tirico isnt much better. Herbstreit overexaggerated almost everything and completely fabricated the idea that Ryan, the Nebraska RB picked up his own fumble. Still, to these f***tards it was obvious that the Referes just plain stunk, and Tirico even called it the worst officiated bowl game he has ever seen. In fact, i cant remeber a football game as bad as that one, officiating wise.

5. THE OFFICIALS STINK
They got countless plays wrong, terribly.

a) Leon Hall of Michigan intercepts a pass with his knee on the ground and gets up and runs back for a score, they call it a TD. Replay overturns it.
b) Henne didnt fumble in the second half, Carr has to use a T.O to get it reveiwed yet again and they still make the wrong call.
c) Key pass interference on 4th and 9, not called, obvious too. Would have given us 1st and Goal from the 8 with 90 seconds left.
d) Having to use another f****** T.O to get a TD reviewed.
e) Those T.O if we had them would have given us 70 seconds back for the final drive.
f) After the reviewed TD they let NEB kick a field goal from the wrong f****** hash.
g) On Nebraska 4th and 3 before they punted to Breaston, they let the clock run for 8-10 seconds before declaring the ball ready for play, even though it was sitting at the line of scrimmage.

You're right, there should have been either a false start or an offsides called.

The last play of the game, Michigan tried a desparation lateral-filled play. When the clock expired, Nebraska's entire team (and a small handful of Wolverines) ran out on to the field, while the play was still going on. With only the right side of the field to work with (the left side was occupied by a 50-man defense), Michigan still got down to about Nebraska's 14 yard line before being forced out of bounds. The officials did nothing.
