Exporting file

I am new to OOTP and have a couple questions.

1- How do you export your league file. In High Heat, you had to use HHManager or HHEditor and then attached your team file. How does OOTP work?

2- When looking at your team in the game, I noticed little blue and gold starts after some of the players names, what are these stars for?
