Nfl Mvp

Self-explanatory. Who do you think deserves the award?

Tiki Barber.

(An admittedly biased opinion.)

And you have as legitimate an argument as I do, I think.

In terms of raw numbers and touchdowns, Alexander has a far better argument. However, Alexander also has the bets run blocking left side in all of football and a very good passing game helping him out. Barber has a second year QB who is nowhere near as good (yet) as Hasselbeck and not nearly the offensive line. He's pretty well carried that offense this year.

Going by raw numbers, Barber has about 250 more yards from scrimmage that Alexander. That 150 yard advantage Alexander has in rushing yardage is more than offset by the 400 yard advantage Barber has in receiving yardage, if you ask me. The touchdowns are the only real legitimate argument for picking Alexander over Barber (although it's a pretty good one).

Yeah, I meant the TD's. He has tied the NFL record, after all.

I have to go with Tom Brady, I think. The defense was awful earlier this year, the line was beaten up (and Brady was getting crushed back there because of it), they lost both coordinators, and the Patriots had Heath Evans as the primary running back for a while... and here they are at 10-5, in the playoffs again. And Brady is having the best year of his career, in spite of all of this. I'd give him my vote.

But I really think all 5 of those listed in the poll are viable candidates, and wouldn't have a prroblem with any of them winning.

I think Miami, Buffalo and New York are more responsible for New England being 10-5 than Brady.

Miami is actually a fairly decent team. At least they have been in the second half, anyway.

I voted for Palmer. My opinion is biased as well.

They're a very solid team when their QB plays like, well... a QB.

Shaun Alexander (although he is without question a top 3 back, and probably the best back this year) is overrated because of all the TD's he scores. Think of it like the guy who gets the press because he gets a lot of RBI in baseball.

My vote would go to either Carson Palmer or Tom Brady.

I'm not sure that I could name three Bengals other than Carson Palmer. This highly scientific study is why I voted for him.

It kills me to vote for Brady, but I think there are good arguments against both Barber and Alexander. And of course, it would have been Manning after 14 weeks.

If the Chiefs somehow wind up in the playoffs, consider my vote changed to Larry Johnson.

He's not even the most well-known player on his own offense.

For the record, Tiki Barber is already over 100 yards rushing only seven minutes into tonight's game.
