Very important question for me if I'm going to purchase OOTPBB Manager 2006

I am sure this has been convered before but I have yet to see an updated answer on this. Since I do not post much and very rarly have ther time to surf the net, I am wondering about two very important things,

1)- Will we be able to import careers from OOTP 6.5 in OOTPBBM06?
2)- Will OOTPBBM06 give us an option to import into future OOTP games like OOTPBBM2007 and so on?

Currently I have put my OOTP 6 (or 6.5) league on hold for the fear that importation will not occur. It is a league that I have had going since OOTP5 with 25 seasosn under it's belt.

I "may" be willing to drop this career (the one in OOTP5 through OOTP6.5) ONLY IF OOTPBBM06 will allow for careers to be imported into its future version (OOTPBBM07, ect). I understand that future version of OOTP may never materialize but assuming that Markus an Co will be around for a long time I ask.

Personaly, I don't see how it could be a big deal to import leagues from the new incarnation of OOTPBBM2006 inot future version sinceall the data will be dumped inot a database. It would sound easy enough to just retrieve the data from there and use it in future version.

Sounds like you play the game like me. I have a 12 year dynasty going that has been played one game at a time since version 4. I had the same thought as you. That is at least for this version I would restart if I had to. But the good news is....

Markus has stated that 6.0 or 6.5 will import into ootpbm

And importing from version to version will continue to be supported. There may be some issues with player performance changing during the importation due to the many changes being made in ooptbm. However this is something that comes up each year and I have never had gamebreaking changes with my players.

So get ready to spend your money. You may also want to take some time to read up on what is coming in v7-ootpbm 2006 while you are here. The game is going to grow by leaps and bounds. The depth and detail is going to be insane.

Do a quick search or simply scan down the board and you should find plenty of ino. Also if you haven't been around for awhile maybe you aren't aware of the ooptbm board located here..

are you referring to the OOTPBB Manager 2006 game? If so, thats what I though but I wnated to make sure.

Well, this is all cool because I thought I had read Markus said it may be hard to do this becuase he hasn't brought any code from OOTP6 into OOTPBBM06, which in return could make importing very hard.

Do you have a link to where Markus said this would be done?

I've seen over and over and over again reminders that Markus has said that he'll do everything he can to make it happen, but that it still wasn't official. Can you link me?

Yes v7 or ootpbm 2006. Sorry typing faster than I think, it's now fixed in the original post.
