Matt Leinart declared ineligible by USC!

For a short time at least.

Man, that would have rocked if he was ineligible. Because then maybe people would blame ESPN and maybe they would stop watching them. They are killing sports. I used to love them, but slowly they are starting to kill the things they love. They should watch King Kong.

Yeah, I was also wondering about the backlash on ESPN.

Dammit, you scooped me.

I wanted the comedic value of getting the Texas fan's hopes up and then dashing them away by sayign he was reinstated.

It would not have been awesome. Both teams should be at full strength. Otherwise, if Texas won, USC fans would be all "Ooh, but if we had Leinart..." and if USC won then USC fans would be like "we didn't even have Leinart...".

Well said, but I think this lil incident is actually overblown. It really isn't/wasn't that big of a deal. Just some misunderstanding and mishaps on a few sides

And how exactly was it overblown. The article made it sound like it wasn't a big deal. There's been very little coverage. And it only got posted here for the comedic value. So where is the overblown again????
