My gut feeling says he stays with the White Sox.

I bet he'll sign for something like 4/$40 with the White Sox.

Not a jab at the OTBA Team. Just the notion that people in baseball might think they were even close in value. Even with the age difference.

Eh, I went with the Red Sox because if the Manny thing goes through, the new GM will feel a need to make a splash immediately, and there aren't a whole lot of other options.

Honestly, there are worse deals to be made (see: Damon, Johnny)... so I wouldn't lose that much sleep over this one. It's not like it'd be a 7 year deal to a 31 year old. |

When it's all said and done, I would bet the deal is 4 years 52 million.

As for the Angels signing him... not a chance with Casey Kotchman waiting in the wings. Hell, he should have been starting there last year. |

From what I've heard, Konerko wants something like a 5yr/$75million deal. According to his agent Craig Landis (son of former Sox OF Jim Landis, BTW), he is going to listen to offers.
I voted Sox, but that's more what I want than what I think will actually happen. |
