The NML debate on using the DH.
Here’s a link if you want to see the debate over whether or not to use the DH in the Northern Midwest League. The two leagues referred to are the NML’s East League and West League.

I can't believe that we even had a debate, because there should be no debate. The DH rule, like pedophiles, necrophiliacs, and various other extremely perverse persons, should be left in a cage with a wolverine cranked up on PCP.
But some of you might enjoy reading all the fun we had.

Someone should start a league where there is a designated hitter for all 9 positions!
Yeah, I'm evil for even mentioning such blasphemy. It does help point out how ridiculous the rule is, though.

I know that at least while I was in high school the rules in CT was that everyone could use the DH, but it could be for any position.
Frequently my brother would end up DHing for the Catcher. |
