For some reason, I am not able to post the full readme info for the DBs I created. Here is a short summary of what they are, please see the full readme files for details:

Random Debut Year DB

The debut year of all players has been randomly assigned to the years 1900-2004. The first year of importing should be 1901.

ChaosDB - Compressed History Random Debut Year

Instead of randomly assigning debut years for all of history, I have compressed history to about 30 years. I have played with other random debut files, but always got frustrated waiting 50-70 years for a Ruth, Cobb, Williams, etc. to appear. And, the leagues were still so filled with average talent and few superstars (which I realize is normal). The debut year of all players has been randomly assigned to the years 1901-1929. If you want all rookies to begin your league, the first year of importing should be 1901. If you want veterans and rookies, import in 1902.

Normalized DB

This database includes the best players of all time. All players' statistics have been "normalized" to the same environment in order to allow for more accurate simulations using players from across different eras. In other words, deadball era batters hit homers and deadball pitchers give up homers. Modern day pitchers with ERAs inflated by playing in the higher HR era compare more favorably with their low run environment counterparts.
