Injury at Last Out Of Inning Can Be Bypassed

Hi Guys,

Just found what might be a minor bug this afternoon. I'm doing a solo league and play all my games manually so it kind of popped out at me....probably wouldn't be noticable in an on-line league.

Bottom of the third inning, 2 outs. We get the third out but the pitcher is injured on the play. I didn't get the choose replacement screen (in previous versions I would have had to replace the pitcher before batting...I always found that annoying because I had to choose a pinch hitter/replacement pitcher a few batters in advance).

Now I'm up. i check the pitcher. It's RED type injury so he shouldn't be able to play any more. As luck would have it the pitcher was batting #3 in that inning so I figured the game would force me to remove him when it was his turn at the plate. It didn't. It really wasn't a good move, but just for the hell of it I decided to let him hit.

He went on to hit a double, score what would be the winning run and then he could have continued pitching the bottom of the 4th. I took him out voluntarily at that point.

Looks like injuries right at an inning boundary can be ignored by players without being detected by the engine.

This is with 6.5a.

================================================== ======

Another little injury related thing....I wouldn't exactly qualify it as a bug since I'll make sure it never happens again but it's a bit annoying.

I was playing a game where the starting pitcher again got injured and was replaced fairly early. At around the 7th inning my eyes were kind of starting to hurt (My screen resolution is usually 1600x1200) so I decided to try and resize my screen to finish the game. OOTP was completely black after the screen resize and wouldn't refresh. I had to kill the process because there was no way to go on.

When coming back in again to replay the game, the pitcher who started the game that just got aborted had kept his injury even though the game in which it happened got scrubbed.

Looks like the injury gets stuck in the player database immediately and not when the game ends. Not a big deal but doing things that way can defeinitely lead to db corruption if the game can't end for whatever reason.

Unfortunately, this is a long time issue.

No prob. Just wanted to throw it our in case it wasn't.
Work around is player honesty which is fair enough.
I actually much prefer the game not forcing me to make the change right away.
