I don't think OOTP 7 will need a full Catobase-like feature if it could simply do some of the best features of Catobase, including tables on Win Shares, starting position player and pitcher role history over time, and so on.

One thing I think OOTP 6 could have in the next patch would make an important difference in getting the game's stats close to what Catobase offers: Include released players on team reports in the Almanac! Currently, if you release a player during the year, that player's stats are lost in the ether, as far as your team's stats are concerned. If you go to your Almanac, you won't find that player on any of the team reports: batting, pitching, or fielding.

This is irritating. Sometimes you have a Wade Miller - a guy who did reasonably well for you but will make more through arbitration than he's worth. So you release him at the end of the year. It would be great to review your team's history and see that player.
