Problem
I was overlooking my memory on my computer today and noticed that OOTP6.5a is taking up 697MB of memory yet OOTP6 only took up 199MB. Is anyone else having this problem? Is there anyway to fix it?

If you're talking about "memory", as in RAM, you have other issues, it seems.

Very interesting. I wonder if a patch will be introduced to reduce the cpu usage of 6.5

Yeah I started a topic when 6.5 came out on this issue that my install mirrored leagues from 6.12 is 100% higher disk space.
OOTP 6 129mb OOTP 6.5 and 6.5a 927mb Thats a huge difference. |

OOTP 6.5a is 2.5 GB's in my HD. It's because of all the leagues, facepacks and add ons in there....

Let's compare OOTP folders, but not body parts.
6.1 has 1.73gig in it 6.5 has 6.44gig in it Ah, who cares. I just put a new 200gig in here last week. Now have 420gig worth of storage. Bring on the leagues and porn! I am ready! As far as using more CPU. I use dual monitors, so I am always using my 2nd monitor to do stuff while some program has the other one occupied. With 6.5, I notice when it is doing stuff like, PROCEED TO NEXT SEASON, or GENERATE LEAGUE FILES, it does grab the CPU by the gonads and squeeze tight. But, while simming the game, it is not bad. I can surf the net, etc. while running a simulation. My program on the other hand, it does so much damn reading and writing from the hard drive it will certainly test your drive speed. For some reason, if you lose focus to my program while it is indexing, it will show it as 'not responding', even though it is in the background hammering away. Just let it go and eventually it will get done and give you control back. I don't think most people notice it, since by design, my programs takes all of the screen real estate and won't let you minimize.
