Derrek Lee forced to leave game

Due to to an injured neck/shoulder.

No word on how long this will be for. Here we go again...

Here's an interesting thought: Lee is currently less than 150 PA from qualifying. Missing a couple weeks could actually help his chase for .400. He's down a little right now, but if he comes back fresh and healthy sometime in August and he gets hot he has a chance of reaching the mark. Could Lee get 67 hits in 150 at bats? I think so. Anyway, that's all hypothetical. I like Lee so I hope he's ready to go soon.

It doesn't appear to hurt his chances for ending the season over .350.

No way does Derrek Lee hit .400, injury or no injury. He's far enough below it now that he probably wouldn't get there if he were Tony Gwynn.

And do I really have to remind you that he's never even hit .300 before?

Pujols will finish ahead of him in two out of the three triple crown categories if both stay healthy.
