Stan Musial coming back from Retirement... Renteria disappears?!?

In my solo-league (using CBL Cardinals 2.2 roster set), I am the St. Louis Cardinals. I just opened up my game a couple of minutes ago realizing that, all of a sudden, Stan Musial is on the 25 man roster (maybe coming back from retirement?!?).

What I've also noticed is that he is listed as the starting SS, same spot in the lineup (leadoff) as Edgar Renteria (my .388 OBP leadoff hitter), with Renteria wiped off the face of OOTP. (When Musial is a LF with no range at SS). Musial played in no games, so this was the first day of his comeback, but Renteria just completely disappeared from the game. I don't see him listed as a FA, or listed as a retired player.

Once I released Musial, I also noticed that he did not appear in the Free Agency, but was back in as "retired". This is one of the oddest things I've seen in OOTP (Owned it since OOTP3)

I understand I must start a new league since I didn't create a backup of this league. However, that does not concern me. I'm just wondering if this is a known problem and if I should turn off the "Players coming out of retirement" option.

My PC Specs (if needed):
TNT2 Nvidia
1.5 GHZ P4
512 MB Ram
40 GB HD

Was Musial ever on your team at any point? Was he ever in the league at any point?

Musial was never on my team. The retired.dat file that was included with CBL Cardinal's roster set had him in the hall of fame (along with just about everyone else in the hall of fame). I started my dynasty in 2004, now it's 2006.

Sorry that I forgot to mention this though(thought I included this in my first message), I did look at Musial's career to see how he did in his career right before I closed the game. Hopefully this helps and sorry I didn't mention it before.

Oh my version is the current version: 6.5a

I'm not sure if Stan is still alive, but if he is, he's in is 80's. How's his game holding up?

I also looked at a player in the retired players list and afterwards he was added to a team as a current player even though he retired over 20 years before. I can't remember who it was, but obviously there's a problem with viewing the retired players list. I did nothing else besides look at this one player's stats.

I should add that after looking at this player in the retired list I also exited the game and only noticed him being an active player after running the game again. Perhaps there's a bug that occurs after looking at a retired player and then exiting?
