NTLDR missing?
On Friday night, I simmed the Free Agent Period (all 30 days), I left for the weekend and was gone till Sunday night. When I got back, it was fine. Then, I did Spring Training, ran fine. Read the things, then it was saving the spring data. While it was saving the spring data, I decided to minimize OOTP6 and open Microsoft Works and do some updating on a few things. I updated a few things, then closed it and maximed OOTP6, I wandered through a few stats and then minimized it and opened Microsoft Works again, it started acting up and wouldn't do some stuff, so then I pressed Ctl-Alt-Dlt and it said it wasn't responding. Then I got it taken care of, open Microsoft Works again and the square box appears (licenced to....copyright etc.) it stays there for about 2 minutes and nothing happens, I am not sure if I Saved the OOTP6 and closed it, I think I did. Then, I pressed Start>Turn off Computer>Restart. It shuts down, then restarts, goes to the Compaq thing. and then it goes all black and says:
NTLDR is missing Press Ctl-Alt-Delete to restart So I press c-a-d and it just does the same thing over and over again, over and over, press Ctl-Alt-Delete, just goes back to the compaq thing and then the black screen with NTLDR is missing. I have no idea what this is and what is wrong with it. I have a Windows XP, about 2 years old, has had OOTP6 on it for about 4 months. I need any help, and I don't have any back-up CDs or System Recovery CDs for the computer either.

The good news is that your league data is probably just fine.
The bad news is that it sounds like your Windows installation is screwed up, unfortunately. The following references Windows 2000, buy I'm pretty sure that XP works the same way: http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;318728 ...you might need to reference the following sites, since you don't have any recovery or back-up CDs.: http://www.bootdisk.com/ http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=310994 Whee! |
