Cato import error...
Never had this problem before, but then again this is the first time I've tried to run Cato on this particular league.
The error says... There is a problem importing line 5 in the file \teams.csv Open this file in notepad uncheck wordwrap (under edit) Examine the above line for odd characters, fix, and try again. Not sure exactly what this means but wordwrap is unchecked in note pad so that isn't the problem and I opened the teams file and it looks fine. Any suggestions? |

Check for a null value in the team name or manager field.

Sorry but I'm fairly new to catobase I've only been using it for a month or 2 and this is only the 2nd league I've tried it with so could you talk to me like a 2nd grader and explain what I'm looking for? lol

I've opened the teams file in excel and notepad and everything seems to be just fine. Line 5 would be the Washington Generals and I've looked at all their stuff and it looks fine as compared to the other teams.

look at all your teams in the setup, make sure nothings missing or that you have some kind of funky charaters in the fields. Catos errors dont always point you in the right direction or are they very clear. I assume your previous seasons imported fine so ask yourself what you changed or what you could have done since the last sucessful import. You dont need to know alot of Cato to figure this out probably, it is almost certainly some kind of value entered in OOTP cato doesnt like.

Excel is OK to use to look at the file but don't make changes using it. Excel deletes the " " around the text fields when you save a file with it which will cause errors.
If you can't the problem, attach the teams.csv file to a post and I'll take a look at it for you. |

Not sure if this would have any effect or not, but I ran a test season the league before I started playing so the league was reset one time.

I'm having the same problem. If someone could help me, I'd really appreciate it (please send me a PM and I can get you a copy of my teams.csv).
Thanks. |
