I Miss My Red Pitcher Names

Short and sweet:

Is there any way in 6.5 I can turn off mound visits, and have the traditional red name show up when my pitcher is fatigued?

Don't really like the new system... otherwise, great patch

I like the new pitching fatigue system. Seems more realistic so far. I always tend to usepitchcount anf feeling when pulling a pitcher other than his red status in the old version.

I agree, pitch count and velocity seems pretty realistic although it might help certain MLB managers if real pitchers literally turned red when they were done.

Hah. I can just imagine how that would go over on Spotscenter, or the sports talk radio the next day. "He was red for two innings, and he kept sending him out there anyway until he lost the game. We need a manager that isn't color blind!"

Or perhaps Vin Scully...."There's a call to the bullpen but everybody down there has turned yellow".......

My first game under the new system I ended up leaving a reliever in to throw 102 pitches. I think I was relying too much on the color to let me know when a pitcher was tired. Finally I realized the color wasn't going to change.

I keep forgetting to use the visit mound option, and ran into the same thing Lucas718 mentioned above. Does anyone know if we can use it to calm a pitcher down? My starter gave up like 8 runs in the fifth inning and 11 consecutive hits before I had a reliever warmed up.

If I had visited him, might I have avoided such damage?

Something I would've liked to see implemented was sort of a gradual colored scheme, wherein the pitcher would turn yellow (for example) before turning red. Just my

I do find myself letting my starting pitchers go much deeper into games with the new 6.5 system of doing things. Most of them throw on average 110 pitches per game, about 15 more than in previous versions.

I like the new feature. I also find myself letting my pitchers go deeper. Most times, I try to get 7 innings, but I've been going to the mound with 2 outs in the 7th and then letting them pitch the 8th. i yank them as soon as someone gets on base to try to avoid the 4 or more run inning which seems to happen to me all the time.

I like the new feature. My only issue is that I think you should also be able to "talk" to your pitcher between innings.

I have only seen " Get back in the dugout" and "I'm ok, Sir. I have a lot left in me" Anyone seen the pitcher say "What took you so long?" or something similar? Can a pitcher say he just doesnt "feel good" or "have it" after two or three walks, regardless of the pitch count?

The pitcher will say 'Time to hit the showers' when he is just about done, leave him in too long and you get a message about his arm being about to drop off.
