Duplicate almanac records and retirees
How does one remedy duplicate records in an almanac?
There are several reports where the same season record is listed multiple times (e.g. 20+ wins). Additionally, some players show on the retired list and career leaders as many as 8 times. |

You can't delete players from the retired list, as far as I know.
But you can use Pierre's Career Editor (available here) to edit the historical stats of the duplicate retired players. Just delete all the stats, and they will no longer appear on the career leaders. Also, as more and more players retire, the guys with fewer historical stats will be deleted from the retired player list. As far as the single-season and single-game records goes, you should be able to edit those manually in the game. The 20+ game winners, and some others, are actually just text files in the LEAGUE_NEWS_BOX folder inside your league's folder. The 20-win file is, I think, "l20w.txt", or something similar. You can open it up in notepad or Wordpad and just edit to your heart's content. --Eriq. |

While searching for a retired.dat file editor (is there one?), I found this thread. Please tell me this isn't true that retired players are automatically deleted from the list...(preferably without lying...)
