Is There ANY Point in...
...changing a pitcher's role during ST? Is there ANY tangible benefit to it?

Chaning a pitcher's role can be done any time. There is only one endurance rating. If the pitcher's endurance is 6 or higher, the conversion should be as simple as clicking on a button in the player's screen.
I think. |

Or 5, if you use the 2-8 scale, which is superior for its midpoint.
On the player's screen, you can assign the role, SP, MR, CL, based upon your judgment and feelings. I've had guys with SP endurance assigned a MR role because they were young and I wanted them to get innings at the big league level that way. |

Thanks guys. I know that I can change roles at any time, but I wanted to know if doing it during ST would make the guy adapt or perform any better. Otherwise, it is a pointless utility.

Someone in one of the leagues I'm in did a study on this when v6 first came out. He found that the endurance can go up in ST, but it's very iffy and carries a lot of risks. Also, he never saw it go up more than a few points at a time (he was using the 1-100 scale).
