Which game from the past would you like to see in person?
If you could go back in time and get 1 ticket to any professional sports game in the past, which game would you like to see in person?
Being a hardcore Jays fan, the obvious choice for me would easily have to be Game 6 of the 1993 World Series. Getting to be at the stadium and watching Joe Carter jump around the bases would be an absolutely amazing thing to see in person. |

As much as I'd like to pick a game from last season, I gotta go with Game 6 of the '75 series; maybe I could have rushed the field and got shoved aside by Pudge.

Looks like a backlog in the I/O bus drive. Have the problem myself sometimes.
anyways, the answer depends on a factor, would I know the result beforehand? Because if I did, I don't know, it would really suck the emotion out of seeing a game like G6 of the '93 series of G5 of the '95 ALDS Ms V Yanks. If I didn't know the ending it would be the aforementioned '95 game for sure. If I knew what I was going to see, I'd probably pick some really well pitched game among future hall of famers, or something like G7 of the '91 series. |

1989 WS game 4, so I can see what it's like for the A's to win a playoff series.

Lake Placid, 1980, US vs USSR hockey. That joint was a rockin. Oh, you said professional. Sorry, the top events I want to go to are all amateur or collegiate.

Pats 1st Superbowl win.
I'll take this time to mention the notable games I've been to. Red Sox: -Game 4 of the 86 WS (Sox lost) Patriots: -NE vs. TENN 2 years ago, playoff game. Temp was minus whatever. Beer would freeze after 1 sip. Celtics: -Jordan's 63 point playoff performance -Game 1 of the 86 playoffs against Houston. -Game agaist Portland in the early 90's. C's down 7 with 20 secs left. Bird hits off balance shot to send it to OT. Kevin Gamble hits corner shot to go to 2OT. C's prevail. -Game where Bird smacked his face on the flood against the Pacers. Early 90's. Came out to the biggest ovation I have ever heard at a sporting event when he came down the aisle to go onto the floor. |

1988, Game One.
My father watching the World Series highlight video all Winter is what got me into baseball. I had no concept of Major League Baseball when it happened. I wish I could still remember where I was when Gibson hit the homerun.

Ruth 'calling' his shot against the Cubs. I would try my damndest to get a vantage point where I could see if he was pointing at the Cubs dugout or into LF.
Mariner and Giants Fan stole my other one. My third one would be any of the Negro league all-star games in Chicago. |

1996 World Series, Game 6.
Cute story. I watched the game up until like the 7th inning, when it got pretty late, so my parents made me go to bed (I was 10), even though it was the World Series. I had lousy parents in that respect that they never understood those type of things. So anyways, I ended up listening to the rest of the game on this tiny portable radio I had. When Charlie Hayes caught that last out, I jumped out of my sheets and starting jumping on my bed in celebration. Then, I realized that my parents might hear, so I silently slid back in bed, but I was soo happy. One of the most vivid memories in my life. It's funny how a simple thing like sports can make a person so happy. |

Anyway... I'm gonna go with TheVat here and say game 6 of the 75 World Series. Pudge is my favorite player of all time historically, and I'd love to have seen that. |
