Help with short-season league

Hi folks, my solo fictional league has a 110-game season. Season 1 went smooth, no problemo. Season 2, was fine, up until the free agency before season 3. After the free agency, there were 3 solid SPs still availible (no one spectacular, just a couple 3-3.5 star guys). Is this due to a finances issue (not enough games to build sufficient revenue). If so, what is the fix? I think my current TV deal is like 30 mil for everyone

I occasionally have pretty good SP's left over after the FA period, too. It probably is a financial thing, because all the teams in my league are poor (I started everyone at the lowest Market settings, just for the hell of it). If you're really worried, you can always go through and raise fan loyalty to increase your average attendance. If you increase your attendance by 50%, that should make up for the 52 games you don'y play.

It may depend on your cash maximum, etc. too. Are you allowing teams to build up cash reserves or is your cash max set low enough that this isn't possible?

My cash max is set at 5 or 6 million, I'm not sure. Is that low? I remember reading something about editing the TV contracts, but I can't find it.

5 or 6 million for a cash maximum is very low in my opinion. If you raise that up a bit, you'll have teams with cash to burn that will go out and get those FA. The computer teams will go in cycles of spending and saving.
