Arrow Waiver Wire

Ladies and Gentlemen,
Ladies and Gentlemen:
I am developing a new Internet league. I would like to incorporate a waiver wire.

Can you give me your advice on what are the best rules to use regarding implementing a waiver wire?
Do you like it in the leagues you run or are in? What works and what does not?
How hard is it to keep track of?

Any information you can give me would be appreciated.

Thank you all in advance,
Jerry

Check out the rules for our league. We have a waiver wire in place.

I must mention it is lots of work as its tedious to monitor every import. IMO its just not worth it.Also didnt the XBL go the way of the Dinosaur (extinct)?

We use the waiver wire only to allow people to dump players they do not want. Basically, post a player to the wire if you want someone to take them off your hands (for free - new team assumes the salary). once posted, they cannot be removed for some period of time, and once claimed they have to be transferred.

I play in another league that requires waivers for every player demoted to AAA, and it really limits your ability to modify your rosters and actually play the game (I have to plan all changes two sims in advance). Players claimed off waivers are almost always removed from waivers by the original team rather than transferred, so there is almost no point in wasting time looking at the waiver wire. In my league, we wanted to avoid the hassle of having to always post players before making any changes to your rosters, and yet have some way to give away players that are rotting on your team. Few players get posted to the waiver wire, and few get claimed, but some players have been claimed and transferred in this way.
