Question about some display issues
I've been mostly playing management-style, and I just noticed when I started my first game that the box score in the top left now only shows the total R/H/E, not the entire inning. I've been mucking with window sizes, fullscreen/windowed, maximizing, all that sort of thing, and looking in the game options as well, but so far nothing fixes it.
I also noticed some serious issues around the borders—runners on first base had their labels cut off to the sides and so on. Now, I had 23 installed on my previous computer and it wasn't an issue, but it occurred to me after the game that I recently had to get a new computer, and I downsized to a 15-inch display. Could this be what's causing it? If so, is there any setting or combination of settings that would allow me to get those parts of the game back? Any help would be very welcome. Thanks.

The scoreboard is tied to available screen size and resolution. Unless you can find a larger resolution I don't believe there is anything that can be done.
As far as your borders? You are going to have to manually move your cameras out to a wider field of view. Easy enough to do in the stadium editor screen. Easiest way, IMHO, to do it is to load highlights from a game and see how things look. make your best guess at how far back the camera needs to go open the stadium in the editor and zoom out maybe 4 clicks save the camera and give it it's own name (don't overwrite the current one) so you know what it is. If you don't give it a new name you won't be able to import it to the other stadiums. go back and load the same highlight game and see how it looks now rinse and repeat until you are happy Now if you are happy with the camera and have given it a new name you can share it with all stadiums. You may have to tweak it in other stadiums but at least you only had to make it once and have a good base camera to work off of. If you are nervous at all about changing cameras in the editor you don't need to be. You can't break anything unless you tell the game to save whatever you've done. IOW move the camera wherever you want and if you're not happy just open another camera in the menu, and when you return to the one you were working on it will be back to it's previous state. |

I had been playing with the resolution settings and getting nowhere, but this gave me the idea to tinker around again, and I noticed my current monitor has a Scale setting—turns out it was set to 150%. That's fixed now. For the rest, I haven't had to work with editing cameras yet, but I'm going to work on that for a bit now. Thanks for the help!

Actually, here's a question for you, since I saw you've had a little bit of expertise helping others with camera editing in the past. I'm having an issue where sometimes the camera gets stuck behind the wall of the park, especially the electric lights, in a way that wasn't happening in prior versions of the game. (Screenshot attached.) I looked through the cameras, but none of them seems responsible for that view; I erased all the cameras that weren't in the previous versions of OOTP where I had these parks, thinking that might take care of it since it wasn't a problem before 23, but that didn't fix it. These are all fictional, mass-created ballparks. Do I need to change the ball locations or something like that?

Yes, I hadn't thought about the scale setting on the monitor. Glad you found it.
When that happens to me I simply zoom forward until I'm in front of the obstruction. No, I don't think you want to mess with ball locations. At least I never have. I also have never messed with the grid. I only work with moving the camera views. Mess about with the rotate and move view settings. I've moved the camera views a lot over time and still don't have a concrete way of doing it. You get better at it but, at times, it is still hit\miss and experiment. Move it, see where you get to, and don't save until you have what you want. When you get what you want, or close, save it. Once saved you can continue to try to tweak it further but, never save over the camera you like unless you are sure the new one is better. In the park editor where it says "degrees" and "cm" there is a number in the box. 15 and 10 by default. You can increase or decrease that number to make your movements bigger or smaller. Normally when I'm moving a camera I set them at 1, the smallest movement possible. But, behind a structure I may just hit the zoom button to take a large step and get out, then turn it down to 1. However that is a fluid situation where you figure out what to use, when to use it, and of course figure your preferences and what works for you. Many times I'm one click from what would be perfect but that one click buries the camera under the stadium or stands. Then you mess about with raising the camera and then trying to pull it back. Other times you're stuck between decks and have to figure out what is best. Go up or go down? It can be finicky. Good luck.

That's what's weird about it—I can't find a camera that's close to that view; all of them are pointed far away from that LF corner. It seems to happen on attempts to zoom in on outfielders in the "secret corner" all those default minor league ballparks seem to have in left field, so maybe I just need to change that part of it. Who knows.
