changing screen resolution

i bought a new computer and then dled ootp. The game screen was not big enough so I changed the screen size to 1600 and 1200. I then discovered that I cannot minimize the screen but have to exit the game to get it off the screen. The obvious solution was to get a smaller screen size but now the game won't let me do it. Is there a way to keep the game at 1600 and 1200 and minimize or how can I get the game to allow me to reduce or even change the screen size.

Open Preferences and click the Interface tab. Make sure Display Mode is set to "windowed". That should allow you to minimize your screen. Whenever you make changes in Preferences, you have to exit and restart ootp for changes to take effect.

Also, you can just hit the key in between the control button and the alt button on the bottom left-hand side of your keyboard when you are in full-screen to return to the desktop.
