Two Seperate Versions?

I've played 6.5 for years. I love it! I have bought future versions but they are so in depth, intensive, and just confusing.

I would like to have additional features and play against other people, but the way it is now just doesn't work for me.

Some people are really into this, others are like me an more casual, therefore why not create another version of the game that's easier for the casual user? Like a 6.5 update with some other basic additions. I would definately buy it and I know a lot of people who don't play anymore would as well.

It's not that the newer versions aren't great, but they are confusing and they do become almost like a full time job. My hope is that you won't take offense and consider what I'm saying, because I believe it could give you a lot more users. Thanks!

Like you, I played 6.5 for years and was reluctant to upgrade to version 9 when I did because I felt overwhelmed by all the changes. However it didn't take long (and I would consider myself a casual player, I play a few hours on the weekends and thats about it) to learn where everything was at. The most confusing part to me still is setting up a new league and trying to figure out if I want to have things based on real stats or potential, or 1 or 3 years of stats or whatever those features are. My policy is, if I don't know what its asking me for, I just leave it at the default. This has worked well for me.

But trust me, I know where you are coming from. However I'm not sure it makes sense to spend development time to essentially downgrade the product.

Also upgrading from version 9 to 12 has been a much easier transition for me than upgrading from 6.5 to 9 because the interfaces are quite similar, just more features were added. With that being said, I believe Markus stated somewhere version 13 is going to have an all new interface...
