Perfect Teammate 27 v1.0.0 – Free Roster-Building App for OOTP 27 Perfect Team
**Perfect Teammate 27 v1.0.0 is now available**
I’ve been working on a Windows desktop application called **Perfect Teammate 27**, built specifically for **OOTP Baseball 27 Perfect Team**. Version 1.0.0 is now available as the first public release. The basic idea is simple: import your Perfect Team card data, let the program identify the cards you own, adjust the ratings and roster preferences that matter to you, and have it build a 26-player roster from your collection. ### Roster builders Perfect Teammate 27 currently includes three roster-building modes: * **Regular Roster Builder** – Builds a roster from your available cards while following your selected roster structure, position limits, pitcher requirements, and other preferences. * **Cap Roster Builder** – Builds a complete roster under a selected card-value cap while maintaining the required roster and position coverage. * **Slot Roster Builder** – Builds rosters for OOTP tournaments that use specific card-value slots. ### Other features * Imports OOTP 27 Perfect Team card data * Uses owned-card information from the imported file * Supports normal and variant cards * Custom rating modifiers * Saved modifier profiles * Two-way player handling * Cached imports so the card file does not need to be reloaded every time * Roster exports for easier reference and entry into OOTP The rating modifiers allow you to control how much the program values different offensive, defensive, pitching, and roster-building attributes. The goal is not to tell everyone that there is only one correct way to build a team. It is to provide a structured tool that can build rosters according to the priorities you choose. ### Download and installation Perfect Teammate 27 is available through GitHub: https://github.com/IceRayn5/PerfectTeammate27 To install the Windows version: 1. Open the GitHub page. 2. Click **Releases** on the right side of the page. 3. Open the latest release, currently **Perfect Teammate 27 v1.0.0**. 4. Under **Assets**, download **Perfect-Teammate-27-Windows.zip**. 5. After the download finishes, right-click the ZIP file and select **Extract All**. 6. Open the extracted folder. 7. Double-click **Perfect Teammate 27.exe** to run the program. The application does not use a traditional installer, so the files should remain together in the extracted folder. You can create a desktop shortcut to the executable if you want quicker access. Because this is a new, independently distributed Windows application, Windows may display a security warning the first time it is opened. Review the file information and choose the option to run it if you are comfortable proceeding. You do **not** need to install Python or download the source code to use the packaged Windows release. ### First public release This is version 1.0.0 and the first time the application has been released publicly. I’ve tested the major roster-building and import functions, but I fully expect that broader use will uncover situations I did not encounter with my own card collection and settings. Feedback, questions, and bug reports are welcome. When reporting a problem, please include what you were trying to build, the settings you selected, and any error message you received. Issues can also be submitted through the **Issues** section of the GitHub repository or directly to my email at toby-44@msn.com Perfect Teammate 27 is a fan-made community project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or supported by Out of the Park Developments. I hope some other Perfect Team players find it useful.

It has worked well for me and has really improved my finishes in tournaments. I still haven't found the best modifiers to work with, but i can pretty much tell you that the default "all ones" will not give good results. lol.
i look forward to hearing any feedback you may have. I'm not a programmer by any means, but i will take all feedback and requests seriously.

Thanks for posting! This looks great. I find apps that aggregate stats are lacking, so it's nice to see one like this that evaluates ratings!

It won't open. I have downloaded it twice and keep getting this error message: "Unhandled exception in script."

Sometime else is having this same problem. I'm at a ball game right now and will look when I get home. Thank you for bringing it to my attention.

(incidentally, that problem was of my own making. i tried to get fancy for 3rd party users and tripped over my own two feet. I beg everyone to recognize that i'm not a programmer. i'm just a guy who wanted a roster builder and wanted to see if he could build one. when it turned out really cool, i thought i'd share it.) The other thing is that this is a zipped file. make sure you extract it before running the .exe file. It would not have worked for you earlier anyways, but that does seem to be a common mistake that users have run into. Thank you for the feedback though.

There are two possibilities. The zipped file does need to be extracted before running the .exe file. Also, the last version may have created a corrupted database file. Please try to delete all files/folders of prior versions before downloading the newest version. I have checked it on several computers that did not previously have Perfect Teammate on them and the file seems to open correctly.

Looks interesting, but I don't have a "pt_card_list.csv" in my "online_data"-folder.
Do I have to create this myself?

Yes kind of. You go to the card shop and on the right hand side, there is a button to "Export card list to CSV". Hit that button, and you create the list. You don't even have to define which cards you own. That card list you just created does that for you.
