Game crashing when making substitutions

Since the latest patch my game keeps crashing when warming up a pitcher or making a substitution in game. I can make lineup changes but when I press return to game it crashes back to desktop. Running on iOS.

Seems to run fine on my phone, but crashes on iPad. Tried starting a new league with no success as well.

Updated iPad to latest version iOS and it seems to have fixed it.

Even though I updated my IOS, my game still crashes when coming off the game screen (for example, making a substitution or opening a player's page). It crashes when I hit the Continue button coming out of someone's page. I changed to automatic AI substitutions and I do not open anyone's page, and I thought that was gonna be a workaround, but even when the AI makes a pitcher substitution, it still crashes after I hit Continue. IT'S BEEN VERY FRUSTRATING!!! I haven't been able to finish even 1 game as yet! I've tried and researched as much as I can, but yet to find a solution. I don't understand why I feel like the only one with this issue.

PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!

When you say updated to latest version iOS, do you mean the Apple OS version, or the app version?

It might be an out of memory crash, what device are you running on? Could I also confirm the app version you are using? And lastly, can you try to play with the device set to vibrate/mute to turn off the sound (I doubt it will help but it's worth a try)?

Also, if you're on iOS can you please enable sharing of the crash logs? You can enable that by doing the following

- Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad.
- Go to Privacy & Security.
- Scroll down and tap Analytics & Improvements.
- Toggle ON Share iPhone/iPad Analytics.
- Toggle ON Share with App Developers.

That way the next time a crash occurs, a day or two later I will receive the log and will be able to fix it much easier

Updated to the latest Apple iOS version Will. Could be a memory issue, I notice on my iPad that there is a delay when returning to the game, before the pitch button becomes active. I assume this is where the game was crashing.

I'm using 10th generation iPad. Also, I have the latest app version. I believe the volume is the problem. Once I turned off the volume, it's not crashing anymore. Thanks for the advice (even though you were skeptical about it)!

That’s interesting because I rarely play with sound on and was still having crash issues earlier.

Yeah it does appear like it's at least related to the sound from what you guys are mentioning. Whether it's off vs on and crashing is less of an indicator than if changing it fixes the crash. I think the problem was something to do with how iOS was handling the sound buffers and how we were clearing them, so just changing from on to off or vice versa would probably change the buffers enough to help with the crash. That being said, I have a hotfix currently waiting for review, so the ultimate test will be when it's released
