Why do you have to aim to fix instead of just fixing it?

As a follow-up to this: https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...d.php?t=363796
I've been running tests and the split differences look MUCH better with this patch. My findings comparing OOTP results with OPS splits from the 1980s. righty hitters vs righty pitchers: MLB .684 / OOTP .700 (15.7 point difference) righty hitters vs lefty pitchers: MLB .729 / OOTP .727 (2.1 point difference) lefty hitters vs righty pitchers: MLB .735 / OOTP .731 (4.4 point difference) lefty hitters vs lefty pitchers: MLB .663 / OOTP .675 (12.1 point difference) The opposite hand splits look great but I would argue that the R vs R and L vs L splits need to be tweaked a slight bit. Specifically, hitters are doing a little too well against like handed pitchers. Of course, this could also be a quirk of my league settings as my league totals mimic baseball from the 80s. But for the most part, this patch creates much more realistic results than the previous version so thank you for your attention to this. |

Any idea when this patch will be an official patch and not just beta?

Has anyone seen improvements with pitchers ratings falling off since using this patch?

I see ratings updates listed for draft prospects. Out of curiosity, how often are existing MLB-MiLB players updated, if at all? I assume if there is an error it will be fixed but do players get updated if they have exceeded (or not met )expectations IRL this season and, if so, how often is that done? I know you would have to have a sufficient sample size if you were going to do it, hence the question. Thanks.
