FHM11 - Historical Start Does Not Work

Hi, I just got the game on sale. Prior to launching the game for the first time I installed the "Historical Logo Pack v2.3" mod (id:3355592931) (for what it's worth, this particular mod is seemingly a compilation of other mods, so I can see and understand why it might cause issues). I tried to start a new historical game starting at 2020, but the loading process would freeze at 99% through the team history part without fail. I tried again multiple times to start a new historical game at different years, too, just to make sure the 2020 start date wasn't just bugged for one reason or another, but it still didn't work. I know sometimes the game can take a bit to load, but even after waiting for the better part of 20 minutes, no historical games would start. Just to test, I started a custom game with the normal 2024 start date, which loaded fine, however, some of the team logos weren't correct, which is seemingly the fault of the mod. So now I suspect that that mod in particular may be corrupted or somehow at fault for none of my attempts at a historical game working. I've unsubscribed to the mod, uninstalled and reinstalled the game (multiple times), deleted the game's data in both local files and in my appdata folder, as well as ensured that the mod's data was deleted from the workshop folder. However, I still can't get a historical game to start, and the mod files seem to still be lingering, since even after going through all that when I test it out on a standard or custom game, the same aforementioned team logos are incorrect. So now I'm pretty lost on what to do. How can I pinpoint the cause of this issue and alternatively, if it is the doing of the mod I installed somehow, how can I fully remove the mod files or data files. Please help and thank you in advance.

1) Can you take a screenshot of the incorrect logos and attach it here?
2) You can delete all modded files if you delete the default folder C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\Out of the Park Developments (the next time you launch the game, all original files will be automatically restored)

This is very strange, because Logo Pack contains only png files and no config or other files with program code

Sorry for the wait. Couldn't even begin to tell you what happened, but since this morning all the logos seem to be correct in standard and custom games. However, the primary issue with the historical mode not loading still persists. It gets to 99% on the Team History part and then the game stops responding. So I guess my theory about the mod being to blame somehow is not accurate.

EDIT: Never mind, maybe it was the mod. It finally finished loading albeit after about 15 minutes of waiting.

Alright scratch that. Logos are still wrong... But only on historical mode now? Sorry if I'm sending some conflicting messages I'm just as confused. Here's a screenshot of the new (working) historical game (start year 2020) with the standings to show all the logos. It looks like only the Senators and Canadiens are inaccurate for the season. I checked all the different logos in the logo_teams file of this particular save and the Canadiens and Senators accurate logos are present and named "Montreal_Canadiens.png" and "Ottawa_Senators.png", so I'm not sure why the game has chosen these historic logos for them.

I tried to reproduce your example with 2020, the time to create a new unmodified game was longer than usual (on my PC the game usually creates in 2-3 minutes, and now it took about 5 minutes). The logos really became wrong!

The latest modern Ottawa Senators logo is ottawa_senators_2007-2018 (start year - end year), but the latest logo without end year is ottawa_senators_1910
The same situation with Montreal Canadiens - montreal_canadiens_1999-2018 / montreal_canadiens_1916
So these are errors in the original game files.

You can delete the montreal_canadiens_1916 and ottawa_senators_1910 files from the default folder C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\Out of the Park Developments\Franchise Hockey Manager 11\quickstart_games\Historical.quick\graphics\logo _teams
(The game also contains the correct logos for these years)
and start a new game.

But I highly recommend you my steam mod, it adds the correct logos for the minor leagues and WHA

I found more incorrect logos in the game files:

montreal_canadiens_1910
montreal_canadiens_1909

Interesting. Thanks for looking more into this. I wonder if I could also just rename those to be something like 'montreal_canadiens_1910-1910' or if that would also just mess stuff up. Either way, I'll check out your mod, too.

Yes, you can simply rename the files in the default folder or in an already created save. I will try to release a temporary update for the mod in the near future, which will fix this bug with official logos after 2018

Alright, I was definitely confused a bit. So your mod was actually the one I was initially thinking was causing problems, but it wasn't. I didn't actually realize that the game had historic logos built-in, so I thought somehow the mod files were lingering somewhere when they actually weren't. Sorry if I worried you there for a minute. Either way, things seem to be working largely fine other than the slow load times which I can probably just blame on my computer being a bit old. (Never took this long when I played FHM9. Though I suppose they've added a decent amount of stuff to the game since then.)
