AFC Richmond Greyhounds

I went looking and poking around the forums here and couldn't find any previous editions of the Greyhounds.
Frankly I was surprised that Ted Lasso wasn't previously requested.

That being said, if anyone would be willing to take on the project, I'd be more than grateful.

Attached are their logo and uni's (um, Kits ) for reference purposes.

Many Thanks In Advance

Hey txranger or Hendu_Style, do either of you still have those Fort Dodge uniforms and hat without the watermark? Much appreciated if you can share!

Watermarks

It is just appalling the amount of logos and such ruined by the watermarks of the big conglomerates. My TWO CENTS!

I've got a request, if anyone feels so inclined. I'd love a logo and unform set for this team (or just a logo is fine, too). I'd like it without "Class C Baseball" and without "Virginia North Carolina League" if possible.

By the way, m00shot has some pretty incredible merchandise for old minor league teams.

ISO - Fictional League Uniforms

Good Afternoon - I am reaching out to see if I can get some help on a set of fictional uniforms and logos for a 32 team league - It has been a while since I have put a league together and am hoping to get some help - I am way better at the backstories and development then of the graphics to support.....

To keep from making this an overwhelming post - I will post the first set of 8 with the backstory, the name and the colors ( to help the process) - Though the league is set in the 1890 ( to start ) I want to avoid that style uni as the league will progress thru time and I would rather not have to swap unis to new time period - so maybe a 1950's style would work as it can carry over - but I will leave that to the creativity of you....... Again I know this is an ask but any help I can get would be greatly appreciated - Below is the first set - the west coat teams:

The Pacific Northwest timber boom and the final closing of the American frontier converged in 1890, giving rise to the Pacific Coast Base Ball Association (PCBBA). While the rest of the nation integrated via the transcontinental railroads, the rugged terrain of the West Coast kept these communities bound to the water.

This league is defined by the axe, the tide, and the melting pot of the Pacific Rim.

The Backstory: 1890 Frontier & Tidelands
By 1890, the political landscape of the West Coast had finally solidified. California had long been established, but the recent admissions of Oregon (1859) and Washington (1889) into statehood triggered a massive influx of capital, labor, and ambition. The old military garrisons that once guarded isolated outposts were now surrounded by booming commercial hubs built entirely on timber extraction and maritime trade.

The social fabric of the PCBBA reflects a unique cultural collision. The foundational imprint of the early Spanish and Mexican californio ranching eras still anchors the southern territories, heavily influencing the architecture, local politics, and language of the diamond. Moving north, this heritage blends with an aggressive wave of European immigration—hardy Scandinavian loggers, Irish dockworkers, and German brewers who arrived via the ports and stayed to build empires out of old-growth Douglas fir.

Baseball here isnÂ’t a genteel pastime; itÂ’s a fiercely tribal weekend ritual played on fields carved directly out of the redwoods or rolled flat on coastal mudflats.

The Geography: Ports, Pine, and Iron
Travel between these cities by rail is slow, treacherous, and often blocked by mountain passes, meaning the league relies heavily on coastal steamers and river vessels. The circuit is strictly limited to deep-water ports and lumber capitals where the money flows as fast as the whiskey.

Washington (The Timber Giants)
Seattle: A city rising from the ashes of its great 1889 fire. The ball club here is financed by shipping magnates and populated by tough Puget Sound longshoremen. Games are played near the bustling Elliott Bay wharves, where the constant whistle of steamers cuts through the saltwater air.

Tacoma: The true "City of Destiny" and the northern terminus of the Northern Pacific Railroad. Driven by massive lumber mills, Tacoma plays with a massive chip on its shoulder, desperate to out-work and out-play its rival up the Sound.

Oregon (The River & Coast Masters)
Portland: The wealthy, established "Stumptown" sitting at the confluence of the Willamette and Columbia rivers. PortlandÂ’s backing comes from old timber money. Their grounds are meticulously kept, surrounded by the ever-present scent of fresh-cut cedar and heavy river mist.

Astoria: Sitting right at the mouth of the treacherous Columbia River Bar. This is a rugged, weather-beaten canning and logging port dominated by Finnish and Scandinavian fishermen. The ball team reflects the town: relentless, durable, and unfazed by a constant Pacific downpour.

California (The Golden Gates & Redwoods)
San Francisco: The undisputed metropolis of the West. Here, the game is a grand spectacle. The team is deeply tied to the city's complex political machines, backed by a mix of Irish labor unions and wealthy German-American merchants. The atmosphere is loud, theatrical, and heavily influenced by the remaining grand Spanish-Mexican estates of the Bay Area.

Eureka: Tucked deep into the isolated northern coast along Humboldt Bay. Eureka is a logging kingdom entirely cut off from the rest of the state by land. The only way in or out is by sea, creating a fan base of fanatical, isolated lumberjacks who treat visiting teams like hostile invaders.

The Southern Expansion: Sun, Soil, and Citrus
By 1890, Southern California was experiencing a legendary real estate boom, fueled by a fierce rail rate war between the Santa Fe and Southern Pacific railroads. The remote, sleepy outposts of the old Spanish mission trail were suddenly flooded with thousands of newcomers.

Culturally, this southern loop forms the league's deepest connection to its Spanish and Mexican roots. Unlike the north, where old-growth timber dictates the economy, the south runs on land speculation, massive irrigation projects, and deep-water natural harbors. The ball clubs here play under blazing sun on dry, hard-baked dirt infields where the ball hops erratically and the dust hangs heavy in the air.

The New Southern Outposts
Los Angeles (The Boomtown)
By 1890, Los Angeles had transformed from a violent frontier pueblo into a rapidly growing agricultural metropolis. Surrounded by miles of thriving orange, lemon, and walnut groves, the city is fueled by wealthy eastern transplants and a deeply rooted, influential Californio merchant class.

The Atmosphere: The ball club plays its matches near the expanding rail yards just east of downtown. The grandstands are a distinct melting pot—wealthy landowners, railroad speculators, and working-class Mexican-American laborers from the historic Plazuela districts sit side-by-side. The team is financed by a syndicate of citrus magnates who use the ball club to advertise the "eternal sunshine" of the region.

San Diego (The Border Port)
Perched on the edge of a magnificent natural harbor just miles above the Mexican border, San Diego in 1890 is a frontier port looking directly toward Pacific trade and cross-border commerce. The silver boom in the nearby mountains and the expansion of the naval and commercial wharves have turned it into a rough-and-tumble haven for sailors, miners, and merchants.

The Atmosphere: Games are played within sight of the shipping lanes on a sandy field where the ocean breeze constantly plays havoc with fly balls. The roster draws heavily from rugged waterfront workers and tough, athletic ranch hands from the surrounding valley estates. San Diego plays with an isolated, defensive pride, fiercely independent from the political influence of San Francisco and Los Angeles.

The Timber Loop
Seattle Maritimes
The Meaning: Named for the shipping barons of Elliott Bay and the deep-water longshoremen who populate the stands. The name carries the weight of a city built entirely on its connection to Pacific trade.

Colors: Navy Blue and White. A crisp, clean look representing the deep waters of the Puget Sound and the white sails of the merchant fleet.

Tacoma Rail-Kings
The Meaning: A direct nod to Tacoma's hard-fought victory as the official western terminus for the Northern Pacific Railroad, beating out Seattle. The name asserts their dominance as the industrial hub of the northwest.

Colors: Iron Gray and Gold. Gray for the locomotives and heavy machinery; Gold for the massive wealth flowing through the rail lines.

Portland Timber-Barons
The Meaning: Financed by the elite families who made fortunes harvesting the old-growth forests of the Willamette Valley. It reflects the immense financial power and high-society backing of Oregon's premier club.

Colors: Forest Green and Cream. Deep green for the endless sea of Douglas firs; cream (instead of pure white) to represent the unbleached muslin look of working flannel.

Astoria Iron-Hooks
The Meaning: Named after the iron gaff hooks used by the tough Finnish and Scandinavian fishermen pulling salmon out of the treacherous Columbia River Bar, as well as the iron-hard grit required to survive the coastal elements.

Colors: Rust Brown and Black. The colors of weather-beaten hulls, drying nets, and the tannin-stained rivers of the coast.

The Golden Loop
San Francisco Argonauts
The Meaning: A classical, prestigious name favored by the city's elite and local press. "Argonauts" was the historical term for the forty-niners who went on a golden quest to California. It perfectly matches the city's high-theatrical, wealthy persona.

Colors: Burgundy and Gold. Deep, rich wine-red reflecting the rising Northern California vineyards and the wealth of the city's merchant class, trimmed with gold.

Eureka Redwoods
The Meaning: Plain, literal, and imposing. The team represents the isolated Humboldt Bay logging kingdom, where the largest living things on earth are felled. Visiting teams know they are playing a roster of men who chop giants for a living.

Colors: Oxblood Red and Dark Moss Green. The deep, dark red of raw redwood heartwood combined with the moss green of the foggy Pacific coast forests.

Los Angeles Coronels
The Meaning: Named in honor of the Coronel family (specifically Antonio F. Coronel), representing the powerful, historic Californio ranching gentry that bridged the gap between the old Mexican pueblo era and the 1890 boomtown. It commands deep regional respect.

Colors: Spanish Orange and Adobe Khaki. A striking combination honoring the massive, wealthy citrus syndicates and the sun-baked clay soil of the southern valleys.

San Diego Silver-Gates
The Meaning: Derived from the "Silver Gate," the traditional nautical name for the beautiful, narrow entrance into the San Diego Natural Harbor, while also nodding to the silver mining boom in the nearby mountains that flooded the port with commerce.

Colors: Silver Gray and Pacific Blue. A bright, clean look reflecting the sparkling ocean waters of the southern border port and the precious metal that built its modern docks.

AGAIN TIA for the help and I will post the next group as completed
