WBC super welter title
Serhii Bohachuk wanted Donnie Marshall as his 1st title defense & knocked him out 34 seconds into the 7th with a right cross.
Serhii picked Donnie because he lost by 12UD (fight stopped early due to a cut) to Bakhram Murtazakiev for the vacant IBF belt earlier this year. |

WBA SMW title
The 2 boxers both had 4 fights each at 168 & neither had a stoppage until today when Demetrius Andrade made the 3rd defense of his belt with a 10th round ending (2:58) as the ref stepped in due to LES (red) eye damage to former WBO champ - Daniele Scardina.
Andrade wanted to unify the WBA/WBO belts but Scardina took on Jarrett Hurd late last year & lost the belt via a UD. Andrade really punished the Italian in Rome landing a whopping 66% of his punches (364) to only 11% (97) from Scardina. Cards read: 88-83, 89-82, 87-84 for Andrade who moves to 5-0 (1 KO) at 168. Scardina falls to 2-2-1. |

In an extremely boring fight, Caleb Plant came Down Under to face a Mayweather, Abdoulaye in this case.
Making his 6th title defense, Plant dominated with an easy UD: 149-138 & 149-137 twice in a fight with no KDs & zero drama. Caleb also won PL: 376 (30%) to 153 (12%) & moves to 12-0 with 5 KOs. |

Staying busy, Serhii Bohachuk came to Italy for his 2nd title defense & conquered it on his European tour with a KO of Omar Nguale Ilunga.
Omar was dropped 4 times during the fight & in the final round missed with a L hook & Sergii's vicious combo ended the fight at 2:33 of the 12th. Serhii landed 328 (39%) to 155 (16%) & was ahead on the cards: 106-98 & 108-96 twice. |

WBO champ, Sergey Kovalev, finally got his wish to fight long time former WBC champ, Adonis Stevenson. Adonis lost his belt late last year via a UD to IBO champ, Dmitry Bivol.
Sergey had been trying to get a fight with Adonis for years, he even agreed to fight in Canada but as they say, be careful what you wish for. In the 1st, Adonis caught Sergey with an uppercut that dropped the Russian for a 3 count. It doesn't appear Sergey ever really recovered as in the 4th an Adonis left cross dropped him for a 9 count & then a barrage ended the fight at 2:58 of the 4th! Adonis was up 29-27 on all 3 cards & 117 (27%) to 47 (19%). Adonis is now 21-1 with 19 KO's & Sergey falls to 19-2 with 19 KOs. |

Vacant IBO MW title
Vincenzo Gualtieri was stripped of the title since winning both the IBF & WBA belts too so Carlos Adames came to Poland to face Kamil Szeremeta for the vacant belt. Kamil recently had a draw with Amilcar Vidal in his previous title shot.
In his 2nd title shot, the Pole didn't fare as well - after the 1st 4 give & take rounds Carlos took over & from the 10th on he dropped Kamil 3 times (all hooks) & a dominating UD: 145-136, 147-134, 146-135. Adames won PL: 401 (27%) to 214 (26%). |

IBO JMW title
In an instant classic, Jermell Charlo defended his title for the 8th time - barely.
It was Charlo's 1st fight since beating Tim Tszyu last March & it showed as Israil Madrimov dropped the champ with a combo in the 1st round & almost stopped him. At times the fight was like a Rockem Sockem fight - back & forth with the 2 fighters trading leather. Jermell appeared to take control around the 7th with superior boxing but Charlo was dropped 2 more times before a reopened cut over Israil's left eye stopped the fight at 1:33 of the 14th. PL was 336 (38%) to 335 (34%) for Charlo. The cards were 124-119 & 123-120 twice for Madrimov. Charlo is now 19-1-1 (6 KO's) & Israil is 3-2 (1 KO) Israil was KO'd in the 15th last August by Abass Baraou for the vacant WBA belt. Note - that was a 5 rated Israil, he's now a 7. WBA LW title
In his 2nd reign as champ, Tank Davis looked very sharp stopping the UK's, Josh Padley at 2:45 of the 9th when the ref stepped in to stop the beatdown.
A barrage dropped Josh for a 1 count in the 8th & an upper for 2 in the 9th were the 2 KD's in the fight. Tank up 378 (33%) to 122 (31%) in PL & also on the cards: 79-71, 80-72 & 80-71. Tank's now 7-1 (7 KO's) @ 135 - his lone loss when he hurt his hand & quit. Last edited by hamed2; 03-06-2025 at 10:15 AM. |

WBO JMW title - unification
There really are levels in boxing, & Bud Crawford looked next level as he settled his beef with Joey Spencer via a brutal 1 punch, left cross KO @ 2:57 of the 7th.
Bud moved to 154 last year & initially Joey refused to give Bud a shot so the WBO ordered Crawford to fight Ivan Golub for the interim belt. After winning that fight Joey finally reluctantly agreed to this fight & he was right to try & avoid it. Bud was sharp as ever & really seemed to relish administering the beating he gave Joey beating him up while landing 277 (40%) shots to 72 (34%) for Joey. It appeared in the 7th Bud decided to end matters & dropped Joey for a count of 4 with a combo & then KO'd him late in the round: 40-0 PL in the 7th. Judges had the fight 59-55 & 60-54, twice for Bud. Bud is now 3-0 (1 brutal KO) @ 154 & Joey drops to 13-1 (10 KO's). |

WBC WW title - Battle of the Juicers?
Ryan Garcia came out guns a blazing & dropped champ Conor Benn for a 6 count in the opening round - that's how Ryan won his WBO LW belt years ago - a 1st round blowout KO.
Conor Benn however comes from a tough family & slowly worked his way back into the fight. It was Benn's 2nd title defense & after a long layoff since his 1st defense he looked rusty. In the 9th Conor caught Garcia with a combo & dropped the brash American for a 3 count. Then a short R cross dropped Ryan for 7 & then another cross for a 9 count. Garcia tried & looked to make it to the bell before an upper ended the fight in the 9th. The trash talk between these 2 leading up to the fight was epic & they delivered a title fight with 5 total KDs. Benn lead in PL 190 (25%) to 159 (25%) while Ryan lead on 2 of the cards: 77-74, 76-75, 75-76. |

WBA LHW belt
Canelo finally got around to defending his belt again & looked as rusty as one might expect. David Morrell proved to be a nightmare, a tall, lanky lefty who can move & box.
David dominated landing 372 (33%) punches to 181 (16%) for Canelo. Cards read 146-138, 147-137 & 146-139 as Canelo was dropped in the 15th for a 4 count from a combo. Canelo drops to 7-1 (4 KO's) @ 175. Used the 9 rated Canelo & a 7 rated Morrell. |

Making his 1st title defense Gabe Rosado went Down Under to face Abdoulaye Mayweather who had just gone 15 with IBF champ - Caleb Plant.
Gabe wanted to stop the Aussie to show up Plant but Mayweather had other plans & over 15 back & forth rounds dropped Gabe twice & earned a majority decision: 143-143 & 144-140 twice. Mayweather had the edge in PL as well: 303 (23%) to 280 (25%). |

Making his 1st title defense after taking the belt from Fedor Chudinov via a SD in May last year, Jermall Charlo opened with a bang in the 1st dropping Australia's Heath Stenton with a barrage.
Things settled down after that as Charlo worked off the rust & stepped on the gas in the 10th dropping the Aussie with a huge right cross. Another combo in the 11th sent the challenger to the canvas & at the 2:01 mark the ref stepped in as Heath's corner was about to throw in the towel. Cards read 98-89 & 97-90 twice for the champ. Charlo also dominated PL: 302 (26%) to 162 (25%). |

WBO JMW title
Rather than waiting until Sept for this big fight, Bud Crawford decided to take on the bogeyman at 154 next - Antonio Margarito!
Antonio had his moments during the fight but Bud was just the quicker & more skillful fighter - dropping the Mexican twice over 15 (combo & a cross) as he dominated landing 45% of his punches (451) to 285 (30%). Cards read 146-138 & 147-137, twice. Bud's now 4-0 (2 KO's) @ 154 & Margarito is 25-5 (22 KO's). AM's left eye was swelling red & he received a busted lip from an accidental head butt. Cuba's Yunier Dorticos finally got another title shot against the UK's crafty, Jack Massey.
The agng vet, Yunier, claimed he trained as hard as he ever did (maybe overtrained) & in a give & take affair Jack dropped the Cuban with a combo in the 10th for a 4 count. Yunier's dreams of a title seemed to be slipping away until a flash KD at the end of the 11th sent the champ to the canvas. In the 13th Yunier went all out dropping Jack twice (L hook - 8 count, R cross - 7 count) Luis Pabon stepped in at 2:28 of the round. Yunier's now 7-1, 6 KO's. Jack's 4-2-1 with 2 KO's. Cards read: 115-113 & 115-114 twice for the new champ. Last edited by hamed2; 06-29-2025 at 12:48 PM. |

After a rusty start through the 1st 4 rounds, Ryad Merhy got warmed up & proceeded to drop New Zealand's David Nyika 5 times en route to a 15UD - 146-136, 144-137 & 144-136.
The Kiwi Nyika dropping his 2nd straight title fight (the 1st to IBO champ Okolie, also by UD). The Belgian Bomber made his 6th title defense & moved to 8-0. |

Jermell Charlo barely held onto his title earlier this year escaping vs. Israil Madrimov with a 14th round cut TKO - Charlo trailed on all 3 cards so he wanted a tuneup defense against Jamie Weetch Down Under.
Weetch survived a beating earlier this year from Keith Thurman when the fight ended in the 7th due to Keith hurting his hand. So for Jermell's 9th defense he came to Australia & really controlled the fight. In the 9th an uppercut caused a severe cut over Jermell's right eye. A furious Charlo came out guns a blazing in the 10th & he dropped Jamie with a huge right cross. Then he dropped him again with another right cross. Weetch survived the round only to have Jermell end the fight with a left hook at 2:12 of the 11th. Charlo moves to 20-1-1 with 7 KO's. He was up on the cards: 97-91 & 99-89, twice as well as PL - 319 (31%) to 123 (16%). |
