Toby's FHM Advanced Analytics Tool MAJOR UPDATE!
Very excited to announce an update to the FHM Advanced Stats App, now available as a downloadable resource! The web app has been converted to a desktop app compatible with Windows! Just download the zipped file, extract to a new folder, and run the run.bat file located within. That's it! You can then download the cleaned CSVs with all the juicy new data and import them to the FHM Advanced Stats spreadsheet for full player analysis.
New stats include - RAPM scores for GF, xGA, CF, and CA - xG and xGA for teams and players based on the new shot quality data - Zone starts, goals for, and TOI percentages - (WORK IN PROGRESS) New GAR and WAR models for better indications of who is contributing above or below replacement-level Here is a link to a new video going over how to download, install, and use the desktop app: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O-IN...annel=TobyinHR Link to the desktop app download: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Kaz...ew?usp=sharing Link to the new spreadsheet template: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...it?usp=sharing |

I still can't thank you enough for your work on this. This scratches my sports analytics bug so well, and feels almost like a part of the game I can't live without anymore. Amazing work like always!

We're supposed to ignore GAR and WAR for now right? It seems inverted or something.

Don't have the game (yet), but watched the video and absolutely love what you're offering here. Can this tool be used with any version of the game? Or is it limited to FHM 9?

What worked for me to start the program was that I extracted the zip to d:\FHM Advanced Stats App\V2.02\FHM Advanced Stats App\ (I think it does not matter the drive letter).
Here I started the R-Portable.exe (in my case from: d:\FHM Advanced Stats App\V2.02\FHM Advanced Stats App\R-Portable\) In the program from the File menu\Open scripts I started the app.R from the shiny libary (d:\FHM Advanced Stats App\V2.02\FHM Advanced Stats App\shiny\) After the window loaded I run the script with Edit menu\Run all command. It took about one minute for the scrip to open a new tab in my browser (Vivaldi) which was running at the time. After that it went as Toby told in the video. For my end of season stats my computer needed about 5 minutes to compute all the data and after that I could download the files. |
