Contract Extension Problem
Greetings (assuming anyone is still here)!
I still prefer XX because it doesn't have the ridiculous camera problems of 24 and 25, and it lets me take over the actual Orioles in 2019 and see if I can build back better.. However, despite the many enjoyable and time-consuming features it has, there is one thing that keeps coming up in multiple playthroughs that is infuriating: Player A would like to get a contract extension. I agree, accept his terms and then submit. A few days later, he tells me that my offer (his request, mind you) is unacceptable and I should offer more money. However, there is no way for me to do that. I cannot modify the offer, I cannot submit a new offer (he is "not in the mood", even though he is perfectly happy), and even if I withdraw the existing offer he won't accept, he will not consider the replacement that he himself has specified he wants. Normally, not a problem, although it's annoying; I just let the player go and replace him with somebody better. Unfortunately, my new owner just ordered me to offer a player an extension, and of course this happened. I've already restarted the 2019 season over a dozen times while learning the game system, and this playthrough is working out pretty well. I would hate to once again scrap it over something relatively minor, but on the other hand, it's really irritating me that I can't seem to work around this. If anyone still reads these, is this a known bug, or am I overlooking something embarrassingly obvious? Is there a solution to the problem? Thanks in advance! |
