I understand, however you completely missed the point I made that taxes reduce the reality of BOTH sides of the equation. In fact, a greedy owner pays (on a net of tax basis) a whole lot less than $330 millions to get Harper and Harper got less than $30 million more.
Tax shelters are why pro sports exist. Similarly, if donors couldn't deduct their checks from their taxes, college sports would be more like HS.
