End of 1972: .212/.293/.438 38 HR 102 RBI

Kong slightly underperformed vs his IRL figures of .225/.303/.462. But by playing everyday, he surpassed his IRL season totals by +9 HR and +19 RBIs.

Kong was pretty bad defensively at 1B, and dreadful at the beginning of the year at 3B, but no surpise there:



Overall. he ended up 2nd in the NL in HR for the season (Billy Williams went on a tear the last week), and finished just out of the Top 10 in RBI:
