Top 100 Prospects List Published
Sunday, January 1st, 1871

The season is about to start, so it's time to publish the annual Top 100 Prospects list. This year 20-year-old second baseman Ross Barnes of the St. Louis Brown Stockings is the #1 prospect overall.

Here is the top 10:
1) 2B Ross Barnes, 20, St. Louis Brown Stockings
2) SP Dick McBride, 23, Philadelphia Athletics
3) 3B Cap Anson, 18, Cleveland Forest Citys
4) SP Bobby Mathews, 19, Cleveland Forest Citys
5) SP Bill Stearns, 17, Cincinnati Reds
6) 3B Levi Meyerle, 21, Chicago White Stockings
7) SS George Wright, 23, Cincinnati Reds
8) C Cal McVey, 21, Chicago White Stockings
9) MR Frank Fleet, 22, Cincinnati Reds
10) C Fred Waterman, 25, Philadelphia Athletics

Spring Training
The Chicago White Stockings were hot during Spring Training finishing 23-1. They are led by Al Pratt, one of my favorite pitchers. Levi Meyrle and Cal McVey are also on the team.

Looks like Whitestockings and Brown Stockings in the Series. Edit, I saw that the Athletics did not have a pitcher and looked and saw Dick McBride on the DL. I shortened his time to a week to give them a chance. I will do edits from time to time to keeps things going along and to make sure the big names get a chance at their real life numbers. I reset the injury setting to very low.
