The Blue Jays are coming off a 25-30 June/July record but, somehow are still holding on to slim hopes in the AL East, trailing Cleveland by 3 games.
Our SP remains the worst in the league and over the past couple of weeks are bats have gone stone cold. We are trying to shake up the rotation by adding in Dave Stieb, Doyle Alexander and Randy Scarberry. Hal McRae just went down with a 3 week injury but, it wasn't like he was having a great year anyway - .223/.285/.377. I thought that trade involving Pete Rose was going to be a slam dunk this year - NOT.
Lets hope we can finish better than we did last year in August/September.
