Walkers news: May 12: St. Louis 4, Cedar Rapids 1, 10 innings

The St. Louis River Walkers scored three times in the top of the 10th inning to earn a 4-1 road win over the Cedar Rapids Golden Grapplers.
The game's only two runs during regulation both came in the second inning.
Michael Conforto hit a solo home run off Grapplers starting pitcher Kevin Gausman to lead-off the inning.
In the bottom half, a Keon Broxton single off Walkers starter Aaron Nola plated Brad Miller, who had opened the bottom half with a double.
Neither team struck again until the 10th, when Brock Holt drew a lead-off walk from Taylor Bashlor.
A one-out double from Andrew Tholes moved Holt to third.
Following an intentional walk to Andrew Benintendi, Rhys Hoskins chased home Holt and Tholes.

Benintendi later scored on a two-out single from Nicky Delmonico.
Cedar Rapids loaded the bases with one out in the bottom of the 10th inning. But Andrew Miller struck out Brad Miller and Keone Kela whiffed Matt Duffy to end it.
Nola was impressive on the mound for St. Louis, allowing just the one run on four hits. He struck out seven and walked one.
