It does indeed have national teams, but you cannot create a league with different teams. You can simulate instead of playing, it's what I usually prefer to do. There sadly are no past season teams. There used to be a player editor, although it's paid and I believe it's not available for FMT but for the toned down FMM (Football Manager Mobile).
