Mookie Betts, our one and only all star. He was 0 for 2, thrilling the New Orleans fans.
12-12 for the month, yawn. 2nd in division, somehow only 3 games back. 12th overall. This league seems to feature only one genuine rock-crusher, and he’s grinding up the NL and leaving us little humble teams in peace.
But we’re hitting the baseball! Offensive Medoza Line Batting this month includes every hitter on the team except two: Sandberg and Fosse wear the collar of shame.
Not too shabby, but why is the team at .491?
Well, too many live arms which (as everyone knows) are trash in Perfect. Honestly, low diamond and high gold pitchers that belong down in Diamond.
Pitching that is every bit as bad as the hitting is good. And again, I’ve no way to address the issue except time and luck. We could be repeating this lament for many, many seasons.
Our junior franchises are seeing some tourney luck, but the Penguins are only winning a standard pack here and there, naturally they’re filled with Iron cards.
Shrug. This is the dreaded ‘perfect doldrums’ you hear so much about on message boards.
Cue Snow White: “Some day my Prince will come.”
Hope he can pitch.
