Martin Frk is a 24-yr old winger who has yet to score a goal in the NHL, hard shot or not. He's a second liner only because of the team he plays on. I'd like to see him put up some numbers before I'd consider boosting his attributes.
Marchessault is rated pretty typically for a top-six winger. He could see a boost in ratings if he shows last season was not an anomoly.
Also, keep in mind that the "stars" rating isn't the be-all-end-all. It's a rough estimate of player quality, and it's influenced by scouting accuracy and the perceptions of the hockey community at large.
